When does online registration close?
Online registration will close Wednesday April 2, 2014 at 11:59:59 p.m.
You may still register at packet pickup on Friday or Saturday or race morning
Can I mail in my paper registration?
Yes, please mail the paper registrations, payable to Riverside Dash. Mailed entries must be postmarked by March 28, 2014. You can find the paper registration here.
When and where is the race packet pick up?
Packet pick up will be available for 2 days prior to race day. We encourage all participants to pick up your packets on one of these days and only as a last result on race morning.
- Friday April 4th @ Fleet Feet Sports from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday April 5th @ Fleet Feet Sports from 10 a.m to 4 p.m.

Can I pick up someone else’s race packet?
Yes, please bring a copy of their race confirmation
Can I pick up my packet on race morning?
Yes, you may pick up your packet on race morning starting at 6:00 a.m.
Can I register at packet pickup or on race morning?
Yes, you may register at Fleet Feet at packet pickup Friday or Saturday or on race morning starting at 6:00 a.m.
If I sign up for the 15k and just can’t do it, can I drop back to just run the 5k?
Yes you may drop down to the 5k but you must notify us no later than Friday, April 4th. No refunds will be issued
If my training goes better than planned and I want to switch to the 15k from the 5k, what do I do?
You can upgrade to the 15k by paying the difference in price (price of the 15k at that moment) but you must notify us before the race. No changes will be made on race morning. You will need to upgrade at packet pickup or through prior arrangements.
Are there course limits?
Both courses are closed courses. Runners must maintain a 16-minute mile pace. The course will be reopened at mile 5 by 8:30am; runners must be past this point to continue.
My friends/family would like to volunteer, what should they do?
We love our volunteers and cannot have a successful race without them! Please have your friends and family fill out the online volunteer form no later than April 2, 2014 found here. If it is after this date, please have them contact us.
Do all runners of the 5k and 15k receive a finisher’s medal?
Yes! All finishers of BOTH distances receive an awesome EA SPORTS Riverside Dash Medal when they cross the finish line!
What type of shirt do the registrants receive?

What time to I need to be there on race morning?
Please allow yourself plenty of time to get parked and warmed up before the race starts. You should plan on arriving no later than 6:30 a.m.
Where do I park?
From Exit 101C on Interstate 4, travel East on SR 46/First Avenue approximately 3 miles to N. Mangoustine Avenue. Main parking is first come-first served. Once main parking is full, additional overflow parking is available at All-Souls Catholic Church (3280 W. S.R. 46, Sanford – approximately 1.5 miles East of I-4). A shuttle will be provided.
Is there a secure area where I can leave my things while I run?
We do not have a secure area. We ask that you do not bring valuables to the race.
Does the 5k and 15k start together?
No. The 5k and 15k have different start times. Be sure to line up with the appropriate distance.
What time does the 15k start? The 5k?
The 15k starts at 7:00 a.m. and the 5k will immediately follow at 7:10 a.m. They share the same start and finish lines but head out on different routes. Be sure to line up with the correct group.
Is the 15k course certified? The 5k?
Both courses are in the process of being USATF Certified and we will provide the certification numbers once they are known.
Where can my loved ones cheer me on?
State Road 17-92 will be completely closed to traffic for runner safety. Therefore we ask that your friends and family that want to cheer for you on the route, take State Road 46 from Sanford into the Downtown area and find parking off Fulton or 1st street before the closures at Elm. From there they can walk the 1-2 blocks down to the waterfront. They are also more than welcome at the finish line.
Are there port-o-johns on the 15k course?
Yes, there are port-o-johns or restroom facilities on the 15k route at mile 1.5, mile 2.5, mile 4 and mile 6.5.
Will you have water, Gatorade or energy drinks along the route?
Yes, there is no shortage of water stops. Water stops on the 15k will be at estimated mile 1.5, mile 4, mile 5.5, mile 6, mile 8 and mile 8.5. 5k runners will have water stops at mile .5, mile 1, mile 2 and mile 2.5.
Are jogging strollers allowed?
We are allowing jogging strollers on the 5k route but ask that you are courteous of your fellow runners and start in the back of the group
Is there a race party after the race? Food? Beverages?
Yes! The party will be amazing with free pancakes being offered by Central Florida Regional Hospital and FREE Beer thanks to Moe’s Southwest Grill.
When will the 5k awards ceremony take place? The 15k awards?
The 5k awards ceremony will be at 8:00 a.m. and the 15k awards ceremony will be at 9:15 a.m.
What time is the FREE Kid’s Dash?
Do I have to register my child for the FREE Kid’s Dash?
Please come to our kid’s dash table to sign your child up and receive their race bib. Table will be located near the registration table. There is no advanced registration required.
